About me

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with experience working in a variety of settings since 2016 including outpatient, inpatient, and residential helping people with substance abuse and mental health issues. Specific concerns I work with often are depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. I have a specific area of expertise in helping people who have experienced trauma or abuse, including those who grew up in a dysfunctional household and those dealing with PTSD.

My counseling style is warm, accepting, interactive, and non-judgemental. I get to know my clients through genuine curiosity, preferring to get to know them as a person, rather than a diagnosis. My approach draws from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I will adjust my approach to best fit your unique and specific needs.

Online Therapy

To meet the varied demands of my clients' lives and schedules, I provide teletherapy for its increased accessibility and convenience.
My therapy style is largely based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with elements from other styles. Online CBT can be as effective as face-to-face sessions without having to schedule around the time and expenses of a regular commute to a physical office.


Service and Fees

I accept credit/debit cards for handling session fees. I participate in Aetna, Optum, Cigna, Oxford, Oscar, United Healthcare, Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health, and UMR health insurance plans, though many clients, including insured ones, prefer paying "out-of-pocket" for greater privacy, treatment flexibility/duration, and to avoid a formal diagnosis which may not even be relevant to the core reason they are seeking therapy.
